Software Safety Engineer


Salary:
Up to £55,000


Office Location:
Manchester


The Role:

Our client, a leading design consultancy in the centre of Manchester are now seeking Software Engineers to join their team with a focus on developing a range of bespoke software solutions with the emphasis on functional safety.

Our client is revolutionisingthe way safety critical and security critical software solutions are being designed and looking for likeminded engineers to join them on their journey; developing cutting edge software solutions using modern techniques and solid software design principles.


In this role Software Engineer will be given the chance to work on products from a variety of industries including autonomous vehicles, finance, IoT and industrial automation whilst working within a team of like-minded engineers.


  • Prepare specifications and assist with safety architecture design and review
  • Design software test and fault injection strategies
  • Prepare and review documentation in accordance with applicable standards
  • Assist with continuous compliance
  • Analyse safety requirements with clients and domain experts


This role will offer the perfect blend of project variety, design challenges and the chance to work with cutting edge tools in a modern, agile environment.


Skills and Experience Required:


  • Solid programming principles coding in
  • C++, Python, Rust, Java or C
  • Experience with all aspects of the software development life cycle
  • An interest and passion for developing modern software and learning new concepts
  • Experience working with opensource software

Desirable Skill and Experience:


  • Experience with safety critical software
  • Any knowledge/experience of ISO 26262, IEC 61508
