OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB:

To underwrite accurately and adhere to underwriting guidelines and procedures
Deliver excellent service experiences for all clients
Working to achieve business growth in accordance with targets
To strive for maximum efficiency, development and profitability and understand role and how fits to business strategy

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Underwriting expertise in OCPC underwritten products, adherence to Binding Authority, Underwriting Guide and Underwriting License
Identify and seek out additional key risk information required to adequately underwrite and price risks
To administer quotes, new business, renewals and MTA's within service standards, responding to customer enquiries
To resolve and action account queries
Escalate issues in a timely manner to MD
Consider and suggest ways to continually review and improve operational quality and performance
Ensure customer contact strategy (new, quoted, lapsed, prospect) is executed
Ensure consistency and accuracy of computer data and Websure records
Actively support and promote Conduct Risk
Identify own training needs and communicate requirements to line manager
Support MD in adhoc tasks and projects

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

Excellent telephone manner, customer service skills and ability to work under pressure
Good communication skills
Strong Underwriting experience, judgement and skills
Knowledge of insurance products and processes for the relevant market
Excellent business knowledge of customers and competitors
Displays initiative, with the ability to work with mínimal supervision and to strict deadlines
Well developed planning and organizational skills
Good knowledge of the regulatory needs of the business and law as it relates to insurance
