Role Summary:


This position is suitable for someone with planning management skills, who is able to be flexible and manage their work commitments on a daily basis.

The applicant ideally will challenge processes and want to understand the Corporate Action environment as to why our clients undertake such events which have an impact on their registers.

Knowledge of any EQ products would be an advantage as our planning impacts many areas within the EQ Group.


Features of the role will include:

  • Project planning from start to completion of each Corporate Action task in a confidential manner. Events can include IPOs, Rights Issues, Acquisitions and Capital Reorganisations.
  • Regular communication/liaison with issuers, advisors and internal stakeholders to fully understand their expectations and requirements, from initial contact to completion.
  • Follow a prescribed ISO governance process to assist in providing a structured project plan which defines requirements to the Corporate Actions Operational team and any other relevant internal teams, such as CSN, Global Nominees and Employee Services.
  • Designing and being able to explain the timeline of a Corporate Action, factoring any regulatory, legal and market practice timelines and internal operational processing constraints.
  • Subject to technical knowledge and experience, actively lead on certain Corporate Action projects with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Developing close and trusted relationships with Clients, advisors and brokers.
  • To review and, where relevant, comment on content included within various documentation to support the requirements for each transaction, identifying and highlighting any key missing information, as well as standard commentary to assist Issuers and advisors prior to launch of each Corporate Action.
  • See potential opportunities to promote other Equiniti products or services that would benefit the client through the Corporate Action.

Daily Responsibilities include:


  • Production of Quote Agreements for Placings/Allotments/Buy Back programmes.
  • To liaise with internal and external parties to manage the daytoday questions and queries raised during a Corporate Action. This will include chairing meetings to ensure a structure is in place to gain the maximum benefit for all parties.
  • To challenge existing processes and to recommend and implement changes, resulting in improving service quality, process efficiency and reduction in risk.
  • Raising invoices in accordance with the Receiving Agent Agreement settlement terms for each task.
  • Ability to spot variations and other nonstandard elements of a task and either find a precedent to be able to work to or escalate.

The experience, skills and attributes you will possess include:

  • A strong communicator, enabling you to act as a key point of contact with Issuers, their advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • A natural approach to providing excellent customer service and ensuring the customers best interest is in mind at all times.
  • A level of Procedural/Product/Specialist knowledge of Corporate Actions is preferred but not essential. Managing various projects at the same time is however essential and knowing the priority of workload.
  • Understand the differences of being a CREST, certificated or even a CSN shareholder, and the different planning requirements that are needed to treat them equally.
  • Excellent escalation and communication skills written and verbal.
  • Passionate believes in what we do and who we are, maintains motivation and commitment and demonstrates Equiniti's values, even under pressure.
  • Responsible takes responsibility for assigned tasks and proactively offers support where required.
  • Technical skills good working knowledge of Microsoft Applications including Excel and Word, with aptitude to learn new software.
  • Maintain robust risk controls and continually assess team performance by implementing quality checking procedures and challenge workstream guidelines to enhance team overall knowledge and awareness of new regulations including CASS.
