What will you be doing?
- Designing and overseeing developing cloudbased architectural capabilities, AWS data lake, data science tooling, data engineering and quality tools
- Setting standards and patterns for data cloud usage, including data processing, entitlements, systems monitoring and workload placement criteria
- Promoting a cloud first culture for deploying data solutions
- Providing architectural consultancy across shared data platforms, API, data lake, event brokers and data warehouse
- Leading working groups to promote adoption of the banks data cloud platforms as required
- Partnering with engineering and infrastructure leads, including identification of new software
- Directing key programmes towards a common approach to data deployment
What we're looking for:
- Experience in design/implementation/consulting experience of data architectures
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies
- Able to develop internal and external business relationships
- Technical degree (or equivalent work experience) or Computer Science background
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- Ability to implement new technologies and make it successful within a large organisation
- Operated as a trusted advisor for a specific technology, platform or capability domain
- Experience working within software development and/or financial industry
