Job Purpose:
Performs set-up and operates computer numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centres to manufacture metallic and/or non-metallic parts to very close tolerances under mínimal supervision with keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibility:
- Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches of part to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
- Interpret work instructions.
- Identify, select and set up tooling for operations being performed.
- Operate multiple machine tools and operations.
- Understand applicable quality systems and perform necessary quality inspections.
- Visually inspects final components.
- Uses precision measuring instruments & gauging devices and performs various quality inspection type procedures to include dimensional verification.
- Assumes responsibility for quality and functionality.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Maintain a team focused work environment.
- Responsible for general housekeeping and cleanliness of working area.
- Ability to work rotating Day/Back/Night shifts.
- Seek out and identify Continuous Improvement opportunities.

- One or more manufacturing skills (CNC Turning, 3/4/5 Axis milling, Inspection, Bench, CMM)
- The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Minimum Qualifications:
Be time served in a machining discipline
Previous experience in similar industry is preferable (Aerospace)
Experience working with CNC machines with various controls including Fanuc, Mazatrol & Heidenhain
Must be self-motivated and possess facilitation skills to be used in a team setting.
Prior experience with precision inspection equipment.
Proven ability to hold tight machining tolerances.
