Travel Lead


Job objectives and responsibilities

  • To manage and take ownership of the operational day to day delivery of the travel service on the Vodafone contract across the UK
  • To work with 3rd party service partners to deliver an excellent service.
  • To manage the Vodafone green and travel polices across the Vodafone UK sites
  • Able to react in an ever changing business environment. Liaising with the 1team and other key stakeholders.

Main duties

  • Responsible for evaluating the development, process, implementation and compliance of Vodafone green travel plans nationwide
  • Manage the existing Vodafone UK Travel to Work Policy with development for local car park management schemes nationwide, input data and produce reports of all systems
  • Support the rollout of the EV chargers across the estate including any communications
  • Support the EV user Database and what's app group (if we use it going forward)
  • Operate and liaise with ChargePoint / chargemaster regards faults for charging points ensuring they are always available as far as reasonably practicable
  • Actively look at the marketplace for innovation in the travel industry
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the different car park management schemes, commuter support arrangements, green travel schemes and maintenance of the systems
  • Support the service on Vodafone contract with Reading Transport Ltd (Reading Buses); provide management information, information on the bus timetables for employees and marketing the service, liaising with internal stakeholders such as HR and the communications team
  • Deliver excellent customer service and knowledge of the procedures for our employees and contractors along with the ability to foster strong relationships externally with our local councils and residents
  • Control all car parking queries, within an agreed time frame, and ensure demand is balanced against capacity according to the preagreed car parking policy
  • Ensure all employees; contractors and visitors comply with the policy, and for providing evidence where a breach has occurred
  • Act as a central source of all contract management of 3rd Party suppliers for travel i.e. the bus services, car parking including barrier system maintenance, electric vehicle charging points, the Car Park Management System and car sharing
  • Monitor and manage utilisation of all car parks across the UK and high lighting area of concern
  • Raise Vodafone PO's as and when required
  • Support the Vodafone on boarding process
  • Actively participate and contribute to all team and management meetings
  • Support the Head of FM with wider administrative tasks
  • Support the wider FM teams on any adhoc requests

Person Specification

Essential

  • Commercial awareness
  • Excellent analytical skills to operational issues
  • Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • Excellent customer care skills / proven experience in a customer facing role
  • Experience reviewing operating procedures to drive efficiencies and better ways of working.
  • Good knowledge / experience of Microsoft office packages
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with mínimal direction
  • Strong team player with ability to build positive relations with colleagues, guests and clients
  • Strong organisation, planning and execution skills
  • Strong customer focus skills and attitude
  • Flexible and willing approach to work
  • Good communicator both Written and Orally
  • Enthusiastic and Hardworking

Desirable

  • Experience in a similar role, or an indepth knowledge of travel and management
