Job Title and Location

Client Executive (Grocery Retail)

London, Westgate. Hybrid - curently min 2 days per week. Remote / Onsite as required by client.

Role Description

If you enjoy have a tenacious curiosity about how people shop, enjoy working with data and a desire to help a major UK grocery retailer have the information required for them to make critical business decisions then this role could be for you


Our client is one of Worldpanel UK's largest accounts and is one of Britain's largest retailers with ambitious plans for further expansion.


We have a strong working relationship with the retailer providing them with data and insight critical to their ongoing commercial success.

You will be expected to support the client in delivering our data and high class client servicing.

You will be responsible for delivering regular reports and responding on day to day requests which require both your expertise and additional data.


The client is open to new thinking and our strong, consultative relationship means we often get to shape their approach and their strategy.

We are committed to servicing the client in a long term agreement, and you will be expected to act as an extension of their internal insights team, additionally building relationships across the business for example the brand and category teams.


Your role would also include getting involved with colleagues in our specialist grocery retailer team, contributing to our thought leadership efforts and other team initiatives and activities.

Key outcomes

Client

  • Deliver business critical reports accurately and on time to the client insight team and other key stakeholders
  • Answer daytoday questions by analysing shopper purchasing behaviour and turning this into useful insights and recommendations
Client Relationships

  • Build relationships with key insights contacts at and expand networks throughout the business to cement Kantar's profile within the client
  • Support the client in transition to our new reporting platform, helping both expert and occasional users obtain the data and reports they need
Insight

  • Ensure high quality client servicing of the account measured a review process
  • Share appropriate Kantar and grocery retail thought leadership with the client
  • Engage experts from across Worldpanel to contribute as and when required
Commercial

  • Follow an annual client plan endorsed by the account lead and director and collaborate with specialists outside of our immediate team to deliver it
  • Work towards an annual commercial team target (i.e. propose services on top of day to day contracted service)
Team

  • Be an active member of the grocery retail team, sharing your experiences and knowledge to help others
  • Work as a team in generating thought leadership such as our regular 'viewpoints'
  • Contribute and participate in wider Retail team initiatives including training
Capabilities and experience

  • Excellent analytical skills, a natural curiosity with the data, and agility with using our data for extracting, analysing shopper data and turning this into actionable insights.
  • Attention to detail, particularly ensuring both Excel and PowerPoint work is delivered accurately and on time
  • Strong verbal and visual presentation skills with the ability to put together insightful and impactful presentations, as well as a high standard of written communication
  • Highly professional demeanour with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to develop your contact base and build strong relationships with your client
  • Outstanding client servicing skills with the ability to build relationships, be assertive and challenge when necessary
  • Genuine enthusiasm and interest in Grocery
