Vibe Recruit are working with our client in
Port Talbot, recruiting for a
Trainee Furnace Operator to join their fast growing team

Main Responsibilities:

Carefully track the temperature gauges and color, heating units, furnace flames, etc. to melt metal as per requirements.
Working safely and conduct daily checks in line with safe working procedures.
Take instructions from Foundry Shift Team Leader to determine work processes.
Work with dies using wrenches, bolts and tap screws.
Adhere to furnace operating and maintenance procedures.
Ensure that all work areas are properly cleaned and maintained.
Conduct material analysis in line with customer specification.
Operate machinery and prepare furnaces to the required standard for melting.
Work effectively within a team and communicate with colleagues on opposite shifts to ensure a smooth transition of tasks and responsibilities.
Experience within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to problem solve.
Work towards tight quality, environmental and safety guidelines. Maintains a Customer Focus
