At 186 Portobello Road, in the heart of Notting Hill, lies The Distillery; a four-floor mecca for the discerning drinker.

The first of its kind in the UK.

We are not only a fully functioning distillery but also home to internationally renowned Portobello Road Gin, and the critically acclaimed gin-blending experience, The Ginstitute.

Within the venue we have two bars, a private dining room and three guest lodgings.

Our Barbacks support our Bartenders as they craft amazing drinks for our guests. A great Barback makes a bar run smoothly.

We're on the hunt for confident, dynamic, outgoing, enthusiastic, reliable and friendly staff who are looking to enhance and develop their career in the hospitality trade.

There will be the opportunity to become a bartender and a strong desire to learn the art of mixing exceptional drinks with a commitment to delivering engaging and memorable service, as well as having a genuine passion for all thing's hospitality related is required.

The right person will:

Have bags of creativity and a passion for the hospitality industry.
Have a desire to be part of a passionate team, led by highly regarded industry experts.
Be able to deliver exceptional guest service skills and have experience in exceeding guest expectations.
Be confident in building rapport with guests and have a desire to share their knowledge in an informative and friendly manner.
Be confident in the ability to build and keep an atmosphere within the bar to ensure the guests and coworkers are having fun.
Actively educate themselves and have a passion to continually develop your knowledge and skill.
Work well under pressure and be an effective multitasker.
