Private Client - Associate
The Private Client team at A&M has enjoyed exponential growth since 2019. The team has developed into a close knit and supportive group who are committed to delivering exceptional client service.


Private client tax matters can be extremely challenging and often involve complex interactions between the principal taxes in the UK and globally.

Our team of experts manage all aspects of private client advisory issues to help clients mitigate or avoid costly mistakes.


Our Private Client team has a diverse and thriving portfolio of notable private individuals and their families who expect a tailored and focused approach to tax planning.

We help and support our clients by identifying their key tax concerns and advising on strategies to address those concerns.

We help clients with a wide range of issues, most of which cover international private client matters including:


  • Business exit and wealth preservation strategies
  • Structuring new ventures
  • Succession planning
  • Prearrival tax and exit planning for families moving tax residence
  • The use of overseas structures, particularly for nonUK domiciled individuals
  • Acquisition of personal assets e.g. real estate and other assets


As a result of this breadth, along with A&M's growth, we are again expanding the tax practice rapidly and looking to recruit an Associate into the team.


Primary responsibilities:


  • Build and maintain client relationships with the support of the team:
  • Dealing directly with clients to build relationships and be the point of contact
  • Liaising with tax specialists in other areas within A&M
  • Be involved in all aspects of private client tax advice:
  • Actively participating in meetings
  • Day to day point of contact and regular exposure to clients
  • Drafting tax advisory reports on a wide range of matters covering all taxes faced by individuals, their families and structures
  • Providing clients with adhoc advice on day to day planning issues

Other responsibilities:


  • Providing advice regarding tax technical issues in the UK and globally
  • Undertaking technical research

Qualifications:


  • ACA or CTA qualified with personal tax advisory experience

  • A selfassured and engaging communicator
  • Ability to direct others while teaching and coaching them
  • Flexibility in approach to clients and advice
  • Enjoy working in a close and dynamic team
  • Energetic with the ability to grow
