Core purpose of the job
Working within the busy school office delivering excellent support to the whole school community.


Key tasks

  • Ensuring that administrative systems and procedures are efficient and fitforpurpose
  • Sharing information with other members of the school as appropriate
  • Assisting with the organisation of events, such as Parents' Evenings, Open Evenings, ensuring that they run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Contributing to the positive promotion and marketing of the school.
  • Planning and organising internal and external meetings/interviews as required, ensuring that appropriate information, facilities and refreshments are provided.
  • Preparing agendas for meetings, taking accurate and timely meeting minutes and preparing and distributing them as required. Including the weekly staff briefings.
  • Preparing and processing documents, reports and presentation materials, using appropriate software packages and ensuring that the quality of work produced is appropriate for its purpose and produced within required timescales.
  • Consistently implementing the house style guide in all documentation and communications.
  • Assisting with any administration on or around GCSE / A level results day and the period following.
  • Updating the attendance of daily detentions.
  • Undertaking reception cover in the absence of the receptionist and to support during busy periods and lunch breaks.
  • Meeting and greeting visitors to the School.
  • Providing a highquality information service to staff, pupils, visitors and external callers in respect of current and future school activiti
  • To have a strong, working knowledge of whole school systems and daily operations (including the school calendar, assemblies, etc).
