Core purpose of the job
Working within the busy school office delivering excellent support to the whole school community.
Key tasks
- Ensuring that administrative systems and procedures are efficient and fitforpurpose
- Sharing information with other members of the school as appropriate
- Assisting with the organisation of events, such as Parents' Evenings, Open Evenings, ensuring that they run smoothly and efficiently.
- Contributing to the positive promotion and marketing of the school.
- Planning and organising internal and external meetings/interviews as required, ensuring that appropriate information, facilities and refreshments are provided.
- Preparing agendas for meetings, taking accurate and timely meeting minutes and preparing and distributing them as required. Including the weekly staff briefings.
- Preparing and processing documents, reports and presentation materials, using appropriate software packages and ensuring that the quality of work produced is appropriate for its purpose and produced within required timescales.
- Consistently implementing the house style guide in all documentation and communications.
- Assisting with any administration on or around GCSE / A level results day and the period following.
- Updating the attendance of daily detentions.
- Undertaking reception cover in the absence of the receptionist and to support during busy periods and lunch breaks.
- Meeting and greeting visitors to the School.
- Providing a highquality information service to staff, pupils, visitors and external callers in respect of current and future school activiti
- To have a strong, working knowledge of whole school systems and daily operations (including the school calendar, assemblies, etc).

- Undertaking reprographic work when required or to cover the reprographics assistant.
- Maintaining records and databases as required, ensuring that information is up to date, readily accessible, managed in accordance with data protection.
