We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in
Haringey to assist with the appointment of a
Income Management Officer, on a
5-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion.


Responsibilities:


  • To respond to correspondence/ complaints/enquiries from a wide range of audience categories.
  • To proactively monitor rent accounts and implement effective solutions to stop tenants getting into debt, making timely referrals where necessary for the commencement or escalation of legal action or to the support services to enable them to maximise their benefit income or to obtain assistance to improve their financial capabilities.
  • To support or undertake oneoff projects and carry out training of new staff
  • To represent the service positively and professional at all levels, and delivering excellent, personcentred customer services using feedback to effect improvements.
  • To meet all performance targets set and use performance information to support learning and improvement.

Required Experience & Knowledge:


  • Customer service experience
  • Experience of providing advice on housing, welfare benefits and/or rent arrears.
  • Extensive experience of working in a customer
- focused (including financial and accounting) environment, using computerised, data based systems.

  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an
    enhanced DBS

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 5 months


Salary:
£17.00-£21.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • London, N22 7TY: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- advice on housing/welfare benefits/rent arrears: 2 years (required)

  • Local authorities or housing associations: 2 years (required)
  • Northgate system and Iworld system: 1 year (preferred)
- dealing with housing benefit queries: 2 years (required)
