Technical Finance SME

£450/Day (Outside IR35)

Initial 3-Month Contract with a view to extend

Location:
Barnet, London


With Barnet's current Integra system contract coming to an end, we have an opportunity to overhaul our key back-office functions re-wiring our business processes, enhancing the user experience, and providing better access to data.

In order to deliver this ambitious Programme for the Council, we are looking to onboard an experienced ERP Technical Finance SME with a proven track record of delivering similar programmes for other UK Local Authorities.

By nature, the SME will have public sector finance and project management experience.

The post holder will be working in the Finance work stream and will be the SME leading the Chart of Account Design and implementation including hierarchy design and approvals.

The post holder will support the Finance Project manager and other SME's to achieve a successful delivery of the Oracle Solution.


Key accountabilities:


  • Draw on knowledge of Council services and the related financial complexities, to ensure the new Oracle cloud solution meets the business needs.
  • To Assist the programme change team in the Organisational Development and Training Plan for Finance which identifies and supports training and development needs at every stage of the Systems Project including commencement, data cleanse, data migration, newsystem training, and transition to the new System
  • To lead workshops for System Design and make recommendations for the business users in adopting best practises used across the sector.
  • Prepare and present informative, high quality reports to senior stakeholders that aid in informed service and corporate decision making
  • Advise on Solution Design such as Chart of Account, Approval Hierarchies and Business processes as system Golive.

Essential Experience/Qualifications:


  • Must be CIPFA qualified (or equivalent) with good understanding of the finance function in a local authority environment

  • Proven experience at SME Level
  • Significant experience of leading end to end ERP transformation and implementations
