Attention all experienced SEND Teaching Assistants An incredible opportunity has arisen to make a real difference in the life of a KS2 Pupil with visual impairments in West Hull.

This full-time, longer-term role is based on funding and provides an idealchance for you to use your skills and knowledge to support a young learner's development.


As a SEND Teaching Assistant in this role, you will be working on a 2:1 basis with the pupil, providing them with the one-to-one support they need to succeed in the classroom.

Your responsibilities will include helping the pupil access the curriculum, promotingtheir independence, and building their confidence.

You will also work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure the pupil is given every opportunity to reach their full potential.


The school is located in West Hull and is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all its pupils.

  • Extensive experience working with children with special educational needs, specifically those with visual impairments
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to making a positive difference in the life of the pupil
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A strong understanding of current SEND legislation and best practices
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
