Description

Standard setting and reporting on actual performance

  • To understand the assumptions in built in standards and review the actual performance
  • Assist the Finance business partner with Annual standard review with a particular focus on raw material standards
  • Prepare site Gross Margin and Inventory analysis reports.
  • Track and report on savings initiatives

Inventory and variance reporting

  • Administer and process stock adjustment process, seeking relevant approvals
  • Calculation of stock provisioning requirements in line with the accounting policy manual.
  • Monitor the results of inventory cycle and work with the Supply Chain to investigate the root cause and agree process improvements.
  • Attend quarterly and annual stock takes.
  • Analyse materials variances and material yield variance
  • Report on working capital
  • Review the weekly production variance report
Business support and other Duties

  • Support Budget and forecast process
  • Provide financial support to New products
  • Continuous Improvement and procurement initiatives.
  • Cost supplier reject compensation requests
  • Be responsible for the site Fixed Asset register inclusive of asset verification on biannual basis
  • Support annual plan process for site, with specific input into materials, overheads and working capital.
  • Periodic review of BOM assumptions (Lot Size, Waste, Machine Rates), labour and overhead rates.
  • Support Finance business partner in data cleansing reviews, such as BOM's and other systems data
  • Review the goods received not invoiced report and ensure the timely closure of older items.
  • Adhoc analysis

Skills Experience Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing desirable
  • Advanced excel skills required along with aptitude for picking up new systems
  • Experience in report building particularly using Microsoft query/ Power query would be an advantage
  • Studying towards a professional accounting qualification, ACA, ACCA, CIMA. Qualified by experience also considered.
  • Full UK Driving licence
Hybrid working with up to 2 days working from home weekly. Study support considered.
