RM Recruit are working in partnership with a fantastic not-for-profit organisation based in Edgbaston who are on the lookout for a Finance Assistant on a permanent basis.

The remit of the role will include, but not be limited to:

Coordinating and processing the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual finance activities
Balance sheet reconciliations
Perform regular bank reconciliations
Assist in project work as required by senior Finance staff
Support the Finance Business Partner with the delivery of all finance reporting ensuring full compliance with all relevant authorities
Helping to prepare month end management accounts including posting of journals for accruals, prepayments, stock, insurance debtors, premiums in advance and VAT
Assisting the Assistant Management Accountant with the running of fixed asset ledgers
Provide support and guidance to other finance functions, such as sales ledger and purchase ledger.
Assist with producing the annual budget, feed through assumptions, track spend and ensure appropriate engagement from the business.
Suggest improvements to systems and processes based on experience
Liaise as directed with appropriate stakeholders
Manage the forecasting process and cash management system
Support in delivering the agreed financial performance and KPIs for operational activities and financial plans
