Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Medical Secretary to join our friendly and welcoming Admin Team based at Weavers Croft in Stroud.

As an organisation we offer a range of professional development opportunities and would support the post holder in continuing professional development.

The Later Life Team provides specialist care to people living in Stroud, Cirencester and the Cotswolds; particularly older people who are experiencing enduring mental ill-health.

About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working team player with excellent communication, organisational and customer-service skills who can work collaboratively with colleagues to manage the workload on a day-to-day basis, prioritise work to meet the deadlines and sustain quality in their document production.

As the first point of contact for the Consultant and the Medical Team, you will be expected to manage enquiries from patients, carers and professionals and to provide non-clinical help.

The ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and to maintain a calm, positive and flexible approach is an essential part of this post.

Previous NHS experience would be an advantage.

At Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, we are supportive of the people we care for in the community and aim to provide a fully responsive service to everyone who needs it.

This is the same approach we take for our employees.

We look to value the skills and experiences of those we work with, whether they are service users, carers, families or those looking to work with us.

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is part of the NHS. We treat NHS patients according to NHS principles and standards.

The difference is the Trust is accountable to local people, rather than to Government, and so we are able to work closely with our community to develop services in the way that best suits the needs of local people.

The qualification, training & experience requirements for the role are outlined in the Job Description/Person Specification.
