Purchase Ledger Job near Dorchester

Dovetail Recruitment are working with a support company in the education industry who are able to offer development and support with further qualifications.

They also have a great handle on work/life balance with 25 days holiday and a 37 hour week on offer.

The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be part of a long standing finance team and will be joining a company with a very low turn over of staff due to their stability and excellent environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coding of invoices and matching to purchase orders
Checking coding of invoices for correct nominal code and dept code
Registering and scanning of invoices to finance system
Reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis
Producing weekly payment runs for both business entities
Posting payments onto the finance system
Producing month end creditors listing
Adhere to monthly deadlines to close Purchase Ledger
General office administration, e.g. filing and photocopying
Dealing with callers to the department both in person and by telephone

Experience & Knowledge:

Experience with purchase ledger and reconciliation of supplier statements
Excellent communication skills
Accuracy with attention to detail
Good computer literacy

Salary & Benefits:

- £20 - 21,388 per annum

37 hours per week Monday Friday
25 days holiday plus bank holidays increasing after 5 years of service to 30 days
Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme is available
Support with AAT qualifications
