Description

The role of the clinical skills facilitator is an exciting and expansive one as it covers the development and provision of training for all areas of the Integrated Care Organisation as well as external care providers.

The role offers diversity as well as an opportunity to be innovative and drive research-based education and training.

We are looking for someone committed to high-quality research-based education provision.

Who is highly motivated, well organised, has an attention to detail, and is able to hold an overview of multiple areas of training and their particular requirements simultaneously.

This post is for 30 hours per week.


Leading the planning, delivery, evaluation, and ongoing development of clinical skills training across all areas of the ICO including external care providers in line with the enhanced health in care home structure.

The management of and support for the clinical skills team in the delivery of education training and development.

Being responsive and anticipatory to the requirements of service development

Ensuring all training is evidence based and developed in line with statutory training standards, i.e. CQC, Ofsted, NHS England, NMC code of conduct, Skills for care etc.

Developing innovative design and delivery of training

Engaging with all relevant stakeholders, ensuring a consistency of delivery and training across the specialties within the ICO

Contributing to policy and assessment review


Developing and maintaining Quality Assure processes to ensure learner engagement and learning outcomes are consistently met, reviewed and updated regularly.


To maintain CPD at a level that both supports the role and facilitates supervision, knowledge and skills required to assess and teach learners.

We deliver high-quality researched based, education and training.

Communication and working relationships

  • Line manage Clinical skills trainers.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders e.g. clinical leads and managers, clinical
governance teams.

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of an integrated education team that
meets the needs of the ICO.

  • Work in collaboration with the other Education facilitators
Engage with learners, obtaining evaluation and feedback for Quality
Assurance purposes

  • Partnership working with Educational providers and other health trusts, social
care sector and independent sector as required.

  • Support all learners as an active member of the wider education team
  • Regular engagement and liaison with clinical areas and external care
providers to develop and evaluate training and education.

  • To provide clinical education advice and expertise to managers and
colleagues across the ICO and act as the link between the clinical services
and education directorate.

  • Manage and support the clinical skills team members

Planning and organisation

  • To be innovative, proactive and anticipatory to the training needs of the ICO
  • Lead on projects as relevant.
  • Organise and allocate the training programme for the clinical skills team,
incorporating all aspects of training delivery across the ICO and external care
organisations

  • Planning, delivering and evaluating all multidisciplinary clinical skills training
  • Work within the clinical services to develop training programmes that are relevant
and valued

  • To lead on the design and delivery of clinical Inductions
  • Embed researchbased approaches in to training programmes.
  • Manage own resources for the delivery of education programmes.
  • Rotate time across acute and community services appropriately and depending on
the changing demands of the service.

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable.
