A fantastic opportunity for an apprentice to join OMDUK a media company in the heart of London, near London Bridge/ Southwark.

As part of our continued growth we are seeking a driven and passionate individual who is interested in taking their first steps to becoming a chartered accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to kickstart their career in accounting whilst working for a large media agency.

The new additional role to the finance team will be key in supporting the reporting team.

You will be working alongside the Assistant management accountant and Senior management accountant in day-to-day reporting and management of tasks.

Full Description:

This role has arisen due to the growth of the agency and the need to ensure that our processes and procedures are tight and performing well.

The new additional role to the finance team will be key in supporting the reporting team.

You will be working alongside the Assistant management accountant and Senior management accountant in day-to-day reporting and management of tasks.

Role

Raise PO's for agency costs as well as approve PO's, jobs and invoices on Aura system.
Prepare and post journals monthly to ensure all accounting entries are accurate.
Managing budget trackers for business costs.
Participate in monthly meetings with budget holders to track expenditure versus forecast.
Inputting monthly forecast client spends into the finance forecast system.
Client and supplier set ups on SFSC portal.
Submit Quarterly OFS leasing submission in a timely manner.
Ad hoc tasks.

Future Prospects:

Level 3 AAT - 18 months course with prospect of studying towards ACCA / CIMA post Level 3 completion with a passion to take steps to become a future qualified accountant.

Skills Required:

Effective time management skills and ability to work consistently to set deadlines.
An ability to learn quickly to the demands of the agency and tight monthly reporting deadlines.
Team player skills, being supportive + social to the team (organising finance socials & annual Christmas dinner).
Passionate in studying towards an accounting qualification.
Excel kills.

Personal Qualities:

Attention to detail, professional, well organised and willingness to learn.
Able to meet tight reporting deadlines.
Personable has a fun, driven and motivated attitude.

Qualifications Required:

Grade C or above in at least 5 GCSEs including English and mathematics.
