Are you an ambitious, dedicated individual looking to kickstart or progress your career in accountancy? Crowe Watson, on behalf of a prestigious firm of Chartered Accountants in Sunderland, is searching for an exceptional Business Services Trainee/Semi Senior to join their team.

As a Business Services Trainee/Semi Senior, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements for a diverse range of clients
  • Supporting the preparation and submission of VAT returns and corporation tax computations
  • Assisting with bookkeeping, management accounts, and payroll services
  • Collaborating with senior team members to deliver outstanding client service
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and process optimization

Requirements for this position:


  • AAT/ACCA/ACA partqualified, or a recent graduate with a relevant degree in accountancy, finance or business
  • At least 12 years of experience working in a public practice accounting firm
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a growth mindset

Job Types:

Salary:
£18,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
