Which is why we are excited to announce a new opportunity for a highly motivated business leader to manage our Integrated Management system team.

As an Integrated Management Systems Business Lead, you'll be responsible for the STW and HD operational standards compliance.


You'll be responsible for implementing an IMS framework across Customer Operations (circa 4000 employees) that supports the ongoing systematic compliance with our licence to operate conditions including compliance with water quality & environmental regulations and standards.


The IMS team will have responsibility for undertake 1st & 2nd Line assurance audits across Customer Operations identifying trends, reporting on conformance and support the delivery of improvement plans to support UQ performance.

The key accountabilities of this role will include:

  • Lead a team of technical experts and quality managers responsible for operating the Integrated Management System and External certifications, while implementing an internal audit assurance program across Customer Operations to monitor standards compliance, identify trends and develop improvement plans.
  • You'll be working closely with Strategic Leads, Business Leads and a wide range of other stakeholders across Customer Operations to gain support and positive engagement with the IMS and the benefits from a process, standardization and operational compliance perspective.
  • Define and coordinate the continuous improvement learnings into procedures to reduce failure and improve long term operational performance. You'll also lead the overall governance strategy for Integrated Management System and compliance standards.

Apart from being a great fit for the team you'll have significant management and leadership experience within a regulated operational business.

You'll also have a strong track record of effective stakeholder engagement, influencing and communication skills, with a real drive for continuous improvement.


You will have experience of working within a management system framework preferably within the utility sector or another highly regulated industry.

You will also have experience of leading change improvement projects whilst developing and coaching technical teams.

As this role involves travel a Full UK Driving License is required.
