Description
An exciting opportunity to work as part of a Logistics team providing excellent customer service to ensure that all shipments are managed in the most efficient, safest, and cost-effective way.
You will have the opportunity to work with some exciting clientsand manage the end-to-end process for research samples, clinical trials medicines and other pharmaceutical and healthcare related products on a worldwide basis.

Hours:
Monday - Friday 40 hours per week (shift patterns available above)
Salary:
up to £32,000 per annum depending on your experience

Duties include:
- Gather comprehensive customer and shipment requirements
- Set up and management of new Projects or complex shipments for existing clients
- Provide scientific knowledge and understanding in cold chain transportation
- Collaborate and support key stakeholders e.g., business development, quality, finance, to ensure all customers are cared for
- Carry out all endtoend operational processing tasks related to the movement of consignments in the most cost effective and efficient way
- Gather data from customers to help shape ideas and improvements
- Thinking about how to get ahead of issues rather than just resolving them
- Act as a Customer Service champion and ensures that the company standards of service are always met when dealing with internal and external customers
- Onboarding of all new customers
- Liaise with other departments, offices, suppliers, and service partners as necessary
- Maintain regular contact with clients to resolve any problems
- Managing shipments of all types to any global locations
- Providing advice on dangerous goods, temperature control or radioactive shipments
- Monitor supplier performance in conjunction with the Activity Manager system to ensure that all consignments are delivered in line with operational schedules
- Complete end to end process for shipment of research samples, clinical trial medicines and other pharmaceutical and healthcare related products for export to worldwide destinations
Your background, Skills, and Attributes:
- Operations experience with an international specialist courier, freight forwarder, or logistics provider within the life science and pharmaceutical industries
- Educated to Degree Level in a Scientific discipline e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Science, or other Logistics industry regulated qualification
- Customer service and administration experience
- Excellent numerical skills and reasoning
- Work accurately with good attention to detail
- Proactive and innovative approach to problem solving
