Role / Responsibilities

  • Manage portfolio of Group Risk transformation projects on behalf of CRO
  • Actively manage project risks, issues and dependencies across the portfolio, and, escalate status, risks and issues requiring management focus
  • Manage specific projects and programmes of work e.g. Group Risk Integration
  • Communicate status of projects through formal and informal channels
  • Provide project oversight on specific projects and programmes of work e.g. IBOR
  • Provide guidance on project management technique and support (practical assistance, templates etc) to project managers
  • Assist in the preparation of project budget submissions, synergy trackers, business cases etc
Duties

  • Manage individual projects in line with LSEG project procedures and guidelines
  • Represent Group Risk on relevant project and programme forums e.g. Integration Working Group, PMO Community
  • Attend and contribute to Project Boards internal Group Risk
  • Adhere to and contribute to the development of processes, templates, systems and timescales deemed to be core to the LSEG methods of project management
  • Keep close to all Group Risk project activity, provide guidance on project risk/issue management and communicate status to management when resolution is not achievable within the project team
  • Ensure management aware of status, provide background and ensure representatives are fully informed of the background ahead of attendance at forums e.g. Steering Committees, Portfolio Board
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Risk management, project managers, PMO teams, representatives from various functions e.g. Finance etc.
  • Provide hands on assistance for the initiation other specific phases of projects e.g. Strategic Tooling
  • Prepare and review materials, adhering to templates as required, for various forums and reporting outlets
  • Undertake lessons learned exercises and deepdives on projects where required
  • Adopt the usage of new tools e.g. Clarity
Skills / Experience

  • Significant project and programme management practical experience > 10 years in fast moving, strong delivery, tight timescales/funding environments
  • Experience in a Risk function, ideally across multiple Risk areas e.g. Financial and Non-Financial Risk
  • Demonstrable project risk and issue management
  • Practical experience of both Agile and Waterfall style project management
  • Effective stakeholder management at all levels in organisation
  • Strong and adaptable communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Flexible approach to manage long term plans while coordinating daily schedules
  • Budgeting and fund raising
  • Coaching skills
