Description

To collect, load, deliver donations of furniture and other items for our charity shops in the Cumbria.

We are recruiting for 2-3 days a week with overtime available for holiday cover.

You should be comfortable driving a long wheelbase sprinter van or Luton van.

You should also be prepared for working any days out of 7 and occasional long distance and overnight stays when we open new shops.

Key Responsibilities

Ensures the movement of stock between shops/warehouse is prioritised and actioned on time
Organises the removal of large/non saleable items from the shop/warehouse and disposes at local recycling centre
Assists the shop staff with moving large item stock and organising the sales floor to display merchandise
Ensures the highest levels of customer service, productivity and efficiency at all stages of collection and delivery of stock
Ensures all Security, Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to in order to comply with a safe and secure shop/warehouse environment for staff ,customers and company assets
Ensures regular maintenance and upkeep of company vehicle, legally compliant e.g. tax, MOT and service records, and that all precautions are taken for the security and safety of the vehicle. Minimum weekly interior and exterior cleaning of the vehicle
Some long distance drives and overnight stay
You should be comfortable being able to turn away furniture that does not meet our quality standards or is not vegan
You need to be comfortable wearing a mask and following Covid procedures in collecting donations from customers' houses
