Description

Our client, a market leader in its specialist field with a stellar reputation for quality, is looking to hire a credible Head of Finance to join its team.

Reporting directly to the MD, this role will play a key role in delivering finance strategy, drivingperformance of the business and developing strong financial controls.

Main duties include:

Responsibility for the forecasting of the business P&L, balance sheet and inventory position
Member of the Management Team, supporting setting the strategic direction of the business
Closure and sign off for the financial statements at month and year end
Prepare and present at Board Meetings
Provide strategic analysis to assist business planning and decision making
Prepare budgets
Manage all capital expenditure
Develop direct reports through coaching and support
Attend business review meetings with key stakeholders

Key skills and experience required:

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of accounting standards, coupled with impressive commercial awareness and proven business partnering
Planning, budgeting and forecasting skills
Proven track record shaping and delivering strategy
Proactive and positive approach, track record of problem solving
Ability to influence at all levels and build relationships with ease
Proven leader, capable of managing a range of skills levels and backgrounds
Strong industry experience gained in product/manufacturing related environments
