Job Purpose:


Support employability activities designed to provide opportunities for DWP claimants to benefit from work-based learning in a Track Operative role.

Work with the DWP and Work Coach's locally/nationally to help promote rail programmes. This will include in person visits and remote communication.


Role and Responsibilities:


1) Work with Job Centre Plus (JCP) Higher Executive Officers and Work Coach's in local JCP to increase the number of quality referrals to Redstone Training/Partners from stakeholders.

2) Follow guidelines for all funded courses.


3) Be the central point of contact to inform and educate all local JCP/stakeholder officers about Redstone Training/Partner provisions, its pre-requirements, eligibility/Criteria, and structure, in order to ensure quality informed participants, attend Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) dates.

4) Attend breakfast meetings, ad-hoc team briefings at JCP centres and referral partner locations and job fairs to inform all stakeholders of the targeted opportunities.

6) Create and co-ordinate learner engagement strategy.

8) Help ensure that Safety Critical attributes are explicitly embedded in all learner engagement sessions.

9) Lead on learner welfare and follow the safeguarding process at all times.

10) Develop links with JCP key regional personnel and extend the numbers of centres who Redstone Training have active relationships with.

11) Work closely with the Learner Engagement Manager to ensure IAG/Start dates are well attended.

12) Lead on destination tracking with direct courses.

13) Work closely with JCP and referral partner clients to match them to the most suitable provision based on income, prior attainment, and local devolution strategies. Ensuring always that they are well-prepared to undertake said provision.

14) Liaise with JCP and stakeholders to feedback on referrals during their course to ensure that they are working effectively and feeling motivated.

15) Publicise and promote the opportunities available to claimants in relation to outcomes into employment and liase with employment engagement about job outcomes and sponsorship information.

16) Maintain accurate records and management information to support the business.

18) Use IT databases effectively to support the JCP and education team.


Additional Key Requirements:

Managing workloads and resources effectively. Redstone will provide work-based training and guidance where required. Maintain up to date manual and electronic systems ensuring the accurate recording of all information.

Must have full UK driving license.


Communication:

Communicate frequently with JCP contacts, learner mobilisation teams, JCP applicants and respond courteously to enquiries. There is a requirement for good listening and interpersonal skills and the ability to flex communication style.


Teamwork and collaborative working:

Work with colleagues and JCP stakeholders to promote provisions. Work flexibly as needed to provide efficient and effective support. This will include working across different regions of England and will require plenty of on the ground meetings.

£21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
