We are seeking a Youth Worker to work in a school which caters to students with Autism, Learning difficulties and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

The role is to begin ASAP.

  • Supporting pupils in small groups or on a 11 basis
  • Following the class teachers guidance and helping to deliver the curriculum
  • Creating a safe and calm environment
  • Encouraging the pupils to engage in lessons

About you:
To be considered for the Youth Worker position, you will:

  • Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism and sensory needs.
  • Have suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (desired but not essential)
  • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
