Fixed term contract: 1 year

Full time contract: 35 hours


Are you a highly organised and experienced administrator and used to working in a complex fast-paced environment? We are seeking a driven, motivated and adaptive administrator who is motivated by the importance of research in an institution helping to make the world a better place.


The Opportunity:


Our Growing Research Together programme is about to start a new phase of activity which needs an experienced administrator at its heart.

We need support to help organise logistics such as setting up workshops, meetings, engagement events, board meetings and administrating all aspects of the programme.

The post holder will be supporting a programme aiming to improve university research support.

You will be the glue that keeps the programme organised and administered appropriately and will work with colleagues in the GRT team, and across the university to ensure that this programme delivers its objectives.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Previous experience and track-record of administration and ideally in supporting large programmes or departments
  • Outstanding organisation, planning and administration skills with technical experience of using tools to provide accurate meeting notes; actions and minutes for example
  • Experience of working in a team and with people from different professional disciplines including supporting senior staff
  • Good written and excellent oral communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Initiative, judgment, and willingness to resolve our daytoday challenges independently, with a proactive approach to finding solutions
  • Highly developed timemanagement skills, with applied experience of dealing with conflicting demands and prioritising your workload and the workload of colleagues in a changing and fastpaced environment.
