About the role
In this role, you will support with the prioritisation and proactive collection of debt, full account reconciliations, and determining effective credit decisions on behalf of Cadent Gas.
Key Accountabilities
- Dealing with high volume of invoices / credits / cash. This will include full accounting reconciliations as well as being the point of contact for key business stakeholders and our solicitors for further collections and process.
- Dealing with complex invoice and payment queries across multiple credit portfolios to provide resolution to internal and external parties.
- Administer the refund process, following Delegation of Authority and banking verifications.
- Receive, process, collate and provide routine systemised information to / from customers and internal parties.
- Operate office systems and equipment, process documents and maintain accurate departmental information that is kept private and confidential at all times.
- Monitor and investigate the unallocated cash account balances and achieve target set by management.
- Validate and authorise files to be sent to the external debt recovery Service Provider and manage complex queries and follow process and principles of daily management of debt recovery process.
- Delivery of internal and external audit requirements.
- Support with advance training requirements across all process impacting credit portfolios, including systems training.
- Ensure compliance with credit policies, controls, contractual frameworks and the associated debt recovery.
- Proactively seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through the implementation of best practice, drawing on external sources and internal references to drive increased value for the business
- Ensure that data quality and security standards are monitored in line with requirements.
- Support the delivery of change across the business, rolemodelling new ways of working and owning delivery of key outcomes to drive the improvement of longterm business capability.
About You
