Our client based in Altens aberdeen are looking for a Logistics & Operations Coordinator to join their team on a staff basis.

Job Role

Assist the Operations Manager and Operations Team in all logístical and operational tasks.

Ensure the timely and effective mobilisation and de-mobilisation of Company equipment and personnel, satisfying customer needs and ensuring adherence to all Company workflow, certification, and ISO documentation requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to:

  • Act as first point of contact for all logistics requirements, dealing directly with client's representative for mobilization and demobilization of personnel and equipment, and working in close affiliation with the Operations Manager and Operations Team
  • Support the Operations Team in all operational, logístical, and departmental tasks
  • Attend any required training to be deemed competent
  • Assist in the planning and organization of resources (personnel and equipment) required for each project which will include purchasing acquisition and 3rd party evaluation. Along with raising required Purchase orders
  • To ensure the correct documentation and certificate packages are maintained and valid prior to load out to meet client expectations and adhere to the OMS
  • Communicate effectively with all departments as necessary throughout the workflow procedure
  • Assist in the development of plans for Operational activity
  • Assist Operations Team to ensure job trackers are maintained and up to date
  • Liaise with accounts department for invoicing at monthend
  • Ensure all customs paperwork is maintained and up to date as required
  • Ensure job specific paperwork is filed promptly and correctly
  • Ensure workflow procedure implemented and maintained for each job
  • Undertake client relationship activity where required
  • Any other activities as reasonably required by management
  • To work within set QA standards
  • Monitor, track and document time/resources allocated to specific jobs
  • Monitor 'cost of poor performance' relating to nonchargeable shipments
  • Must take part in the OnCall Rota.
Desired Qualities/Qualifications


Skills:

  • Previous experience working with transport logistics or shipping logistics
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Have excellent attention to detail and compile accurate documentation and business correspondence
  • Have ability to effectively present information, and respond to questions from suppliers, clients and managers
  • Proactively work to achieve tasks and objectives in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Be an effective problemsolver
