About The Role

It is important that the estimator can stand over all documentation and quantities, all values submitted and when challenged be able to back up these figures and quantities with rationale around how these figures were achieved.

Responsibilities

Researching materials, equipment, and labour costs.
Gathering quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
Assessing the levels of risk on a project and communicating the risk internally
Analysing company data, exchange rates and prices using software packages.
Preparing and submitting quotations
Completing Final Accounts
Supporting with new contract tenders
Supporting buying activities
Monitoring the stages of a project to ensure costs are kept in line with forecasts and correct level of profits are achieved

Accountabilities

The Estimator is accountable for reviewing business and project specific documentation that has been captured at client scoping meeting or surveys and translating the information into required Labour, materials and Access Equipment based on the individual project life cycle.

Documentation should contain accurate information that will be used by all internal and external Stakeholders.

All Documentation, regardless of type, will be centrally stored on the business Shared Drives which is accessible to all internal stakeholders.

The documents should be shared with the client and/or uploaded to the client's systems where we have been instructed to do so.

Salary:
£20,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
