Are you a senior sales and marketing professional within the education or veterinary industry?


Global Veterinary Careers are currently providing exclusive support to a leading academic provider, who are searching for a Sales and Marketing Director to lead commercial strategy of the business.


Leading from the front, you will have extensive experience in bringing the two functions together, holding a high degree of gravitas and expertise in driving revenue.


The Role:


  • Defining and implementing appropriate customer journeys for both B2B and B2C sales
  • Building deep market & customer knowledge to inform marketing activities and provide input into the product development team
  • Identifying business opportunities, growing, and enhancing our presence in the market and building profitable relationships with key stakeholders
  • Continuing rapid growth of sales in current markets through increasing market share, as well as expansion of direct sales activities to new locations, internationally
  • Define and oversee the marketing strategy to accomplish the defined goals and growth ambitions of the company
  • Ensure key a Global Market Segmentation strategy is created and shared internally so that our employees also understand our approach and can support within their roles and departments
  • Building out key customer / account management capability and successfully integrating this with core sales and marketing functions
  • You will have 4 direct reports across the business

Experience required:


  • Proven work experience as a Sales and Marketing Director, evidencing growth over a sustained period of time with solid career history
  • Prior knowledge of education or working within either education, pharmaceutical or veterinary sector in a commercial capacity
  • Proven track record of growing sales through rapidly growing market shares through marketing, branding and partnerships
  • Proven experience developing and executing sales and marketing strategy
  • Significant general management and P&L experience
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to work with colleagues at international level
  • Must be flexible to travel internationally on a regular basis (3 days per month)
  • Strong leadership experience and proven experience in galvanising sales/marketing departments in a B2B and B2C service capacity, ideally within education
