Description

Responsibilities:

Provide personal care and support to students with complex needs, including administering medication and supporting with daily living activities
Assist students in their academic and social development, including helping them to access the curriculum and participate in extracurricular activities
Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to ensure that students receive appropriate support and that individual learning plans are implemented
Create a safe and supportive environment for students, ensuring their wellbeing and safeguarding at all times
Provide support with manual handling and hoisting where necessary
Attend team meetings and training sessions as required

Requirements:

A caring and compassionate nature with a passion for supporting young people with complex needs
Previous experience in a care role, preferably within a school setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Basic knowledge of manual handling and hoist training (desirable but not essential)
An enhanced DBS check
