Band 3 Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator (CAT 5 Trauma & Orthopaedics)


The Trauma and Orthopaedic Department is looking for a permanent full-time band 3 Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator to start as soon as possible.


We are a large, friendly, busy department made up of 23 administrators who oversee all clerical duties for 23 Consultants and their clinical teams.


This is a great opportunity to become a key part of a developing team supporting the consultants, providing first-class patient care in line with government treatment time targets.


This will include duties such as answering patient queries of the telephone, managing patient pathways using the trust electronic patient record, and assisting in general admin tasks.

1/ To be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patients' pathway of care.


2/ To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will provide support in the proactive management of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly.


3/ To ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer-focused and knowledgeable point of contact.

To provide a consistent approach across the Trust, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) will describe how the functions of the role will be carried out, along with the timescales to which are to be adhered.
