About This Position:
Joining us as a professional and
experienced librarian, you would expect to contribute to the organisation and management of the library services, including but not limiting to the following
- Financial planning and management of the library budgets, the Library Development Plan and Line Management of the LRC staff.
- Providing a first class information and resource service that focusses on; teaching, learning and assessment.
- Working closely with wider college teams to ensure that all resources have direct relevance to curriculum to enhance learners' study programmes.
- Promoting an inclusive environment supporting a diverse student community.
Experience required
- With previous experience of working with library management systems, you will have either a graduate or post graduate library qualification and have a working knowledge of the Dewey Decimal Classification system.
- Good communication and customer services skills are essential as is an ability to maintain an appropriate learning environment in the LRC for all students while promoting diversity and inclusivity.
- Previous experience of working in an educational setting and of supervising staff would be highly advantageous.
