RCE Ltd was formed in 2012 and has experienced significant growth to become a multi
- disciplined contractor specialising in civil engineering, reinstatement and utilities.

Due to substantial growth, we are now seeking a Transport and Plant Coordinator to work within the Operational Team.

Reporting into the Transport and Plant Manager, you will play a vital role providing comprehensive administrative support to the Transport and Plant Division of the business.

You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective movement of plant, vehicles and equipment to and from the companies' construction sites, while adhering to health and safety regulations.


This is a varied role and requires significant and proven experience working in a busy, fast paced office, you will need a high level of initiative, professionalism and flexibility as you will be required to complete a broad range of tasks with mínimal supervision.


Key responsibilities:


  • Efficient operational control of plant, vehicles and equipment.
  • Matching available resources to planned and reactive tasks, taking into account geography, the availability of suitable plant and external hire options.
  • Live monitoring and overview of Asset whereabouts.
  • Ensuring excellent communication between all departments within the business.
  • Ensuring calibrations and repairs are processed and records maintained.
  • Taking of orders, processing and following them through to completion.
  • Ensuring that health and safety regulations are always adhered to.
  • Arranging delivery and collection of orders
  • Processing orders into the companies' bespoke Asset management software (training will be provided) onhires, offhires and stock transfers, etc.
  • Raise hire/sales contracts on the companies' bespoke asset management software.
  • Assisting in the completion of asset and stock counts
  • Keeping backoffice systems updated on a daytoday basis.
  • Organisation and Management of all documentation and record keeping.
  • Additional ad hoc duties as may be designated by your line manager from time to time.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • Previous strong administration experience
  • Knowledge of plant, transport or fleet operations would be advantageous
  • Excellent IT skills with proficiency with Microsoft.
  • Clear and concise communication skills both written and verbal.
  • A motivated and organised approach with excellent customer service skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills along with being accurate and precise in your work.

Additional Info

  • Working hours 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • 33 days holiday (inclusive of statutory bank holidays) pro rata
  • Contributory pension
  • Compulsory Industry shutdown period over Christmas period
