As a Planner working in Hackney's Strategic Planning Team, you will be given the scope to work on a wide range of projects including: the RTPI award winning Stamford Hill Area Action Plan, our Future Shoreditch Plan and new Supplementary Planning Documents, all designed to deliver our strategic vision to ensure that Hackney is a place where everyone has the opportunity to benefit from growth.


Your role will be to support the development of planning and design guidance, prepare robust strategic policies and advise on emerging regeneration programmes in key parts of the Borough.

You will have strong communication skills and the ability to engage and work in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders, including residents, businesses, and community groups.

You will be confident in developing positive and proactive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.


We go where the evidence takes us in Hackney and maintaining an up to date evidence base for emerging plans is a key aspect of supporting our communities and reflecting the wider corporate objectives of the Council.
