Our social care teams in Winsford provide essential safeguarding and support to children, young people and their families who live in the towns of Winsford and Northwich.

As a business support assistant you will provide a high-quality support offer to the Social Workers and managers in the Children in Need and Court Teams.

No two days are the same and a high level of good time management skills are required as well as a mature and resilient approach to the nature of the work.


We are very proud that Ofsted have rated us as one of the top performing Children's Services in the country; receiving overall "good" in our 2015 inspection and retaining "good" in our recent inspection in 2019.

Our recent inspection has acknowledged that our children benefit from a stable and resilient workforce and we are approved as a Partner in Practice with the Department of Education and have won "Overall council of the Year" and "Best Innovation" awards in 2018.

We are developing and embedding New Ways of Working with our service and multi-agency partners in order to ensure improved collaboration and one common approach to practice.


The contractual work location for this role is listed above however you may be required to work from a range of work locations or sites within the Borough and may also be required to work from home, depending on the needs of the service.
