We have an exciting opportunity to join our supportive and passionate HR team. We are really keen to hear from you if you are an experienced Head of HR Operations.


This role is offered on a 1 year fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, ideally commencing by the beginning of December 2023.


Salary:
£47,706 -£53,973 per annum depending on experience

Working within the central team, you will be contracted on a hybrid working model which includes the variety of working from home and office-based working.

You will also be based within the office or an academy setting regularly to benefit in working with wider teams and build positive relationships with our key contacts within Academies.


Job Summary
The Head of HR Operations leads the delivery of all HR transactional services across the Federation.

You will effectively lead the teams (15 people) who provide the HR administration, Recruitment, Pensions, HR data and systems provision to the whole Federation.


Working flexibly and responding to changing demands you must be cognisant of the internal and external factors affecting organisational performance and intuitively respond where needed to support the overall aims of the Federation ensuring there is a high level of customer focus in all areas of the team's work.

Measures of success include providing an excellent recruitment service which ensures safer recruitment and compliance checks are in place for all new staff and volunteers; ensuring the successful delivery of the monthly payroll and processing of accurate pension submissions as well as the effective design and on-going development of systems and processes This is alongside confidently managing and negotiating with external service (e.g. supply agencies) and system providers (e.g. the HR system) and hold them to account for service delivery.


This is a busy role with a number of conflicting priorities and we are looking for somebody who enjoys and thrives in making operational improvements and efficiencies.

This role is a mainly home-working role, following a period of on-site training, with regular in-person team days at the HR office based at King's Oak Academy, Kingswood, Bristol.

This role also requires the post holder to regularly travel to the academies they support.
