The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday office hours (flexi time arrangement and hybrid working also in place)


If you thrive being organised, and in providing administrative support to a department, the CGSU Administrator post could be for you.


You will work within the Clinical Governance Support Unit (CGSU), which supports NHSGGC in providing high quality, safe, effective and person-centred healthcare.

The CGSU is led by the Director of Clinical and Care Governance and is managed within the Board Medical Directorate.

This post provides an exciting opportunity to make a contribution to the business function of the unit, and in administrating and supporting the senior managers and wider team to deliver the work plan.


What you'll do
Key tasks will include but are not restricted to:

  • Work with the administrative team to establish and maintain office systems and procedures, to improve ways of working, and contribute to the key objectives of the admin workplan
  • Manage business and workforce information
  • Input and process information and data, and maintain agreed business and departmental systems and processes
  • Support analytical work in relation to business and workforce data and information
  • Respond to enquiries from key stakeholders
  • Provide full administrative and secretarial support to agreed committees and meetings, and support the planning and organisation of agreed events. This will include minute taking
  • Provide support to the senior management team

What you'll bring

These will include but are not restricted to:

  • High level of communication skills, including oral skills, written skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and use own initiative
  • Knowledge and skills in data processing and analysis
  • Advanced keyboard skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of obligations with regard to the Data Protection Act, Caldicott Guidance and the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act.
  • Experience of minute taking
You will educated to HNC level (or able to demonstrate equivalent ability/experience) with experience of Microsoft Office/ M365 packages. You will ideally have experience of working within the health service.
