Housing Support Worker

LOCATION:
St Agnes

HOURS:30 per week

SALARY:
£22,570 (pro rata)

DURATION:
Perm

START DATE:3rd of Jan (sooner if possible)

To provide committed advice, support, and services to those within the supported housing service.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

To enable and empower clients in a supportive environment within the support team. To promote their personal, social, and everyday skills with the aim for them to strive towards independence and eventually into their own independent accommodation.
To encourage clients to increase their involvement in the daytoday running of their accommodation and undertake tasks as an identified keyworker as directed by the management such as joining community life by using local facilities and services in thearea.
To work cooperatively with children's services, health agencies and other communitybased services, to provide the most effective service for children young people and families.
To encourage clients to be as independent as possible and support them to achieve their goals and take responsibility of daytoday tasks (e.g. making appointments, budgeting, paying bills, planning meals).
To empower clients in finding appropriate employment and settled accommodation opportunities through guidance and support and liaise and work with colleagues in other agencies including Mental Health services and Housing Associations etc., to ensure thesmooth running of the project.
