An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist to join the Single Point of Access/Emotional Wellbeing Service based in Sheffield.


Our team prides itself on being a group of experienced, supportive, and motivated individuals, with the ability to motivate and influence others, suggest, and implement ideas to improve service performance and efficiency and have excellent communication skills.

You should be enthusiastic about the challenges of working in a busy environment and can remain calm under pressure.

Additionally, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, be motivated, able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and able to work with other partnership agencies.

  • To undertake telephone and reception duties as appropriate, including dealing with the general public over the telephone or face to face, taking comprehensive and effective message taking, fielding and diverting calls.
  • To maintain patient records and appointments to a high degree of confidentiality, including recording outcomes for service users attending the building.
  • To clearly communicate orally with members of the public where there may be barriers to understanding.
  • Be responsible for managing and booking rooms for appointments on behalf of clinicians/clinical administrators.
  • To maintain all information on noticeboards relating to the service, updating accordingly.
  • To undertake typing and producing documents as requested, using PC based word processing, spreadsheets and database packages.
  • To undertake general office administration tasks, including filing, photocopying, and processing stationery orders
  • To maintain accurate levels of stationery supplies, utilising the electronic ordering system for stock items.
  • To process all incoming and outgoing mail
  • To provide assistance to the Clinical Administrators where requested.
  • The postholder will be expected to support and adhere to general building protocols in relation to health, safety and security including weekly testing of the fire alarm and nurse call systems.
  • Working days are Monday to Friday
