    What you'll do:

We are looking for an experienced System Support Specialist to provide first line technical support within an on-premise, multi-site network.

You will be supporting both the system engineers and field technicians in troubleshooting and maintaining the computer systems that support the many specialist security products in use within the network, as well as proactively monitoring logs and alerts to reduce potential technical failures.


You will be responsible for the support and maintenance of the installed security systems across multiple locations and assisting technology partners on best practice and suitable configuration for both hardware and software installations.

As part of the role you'll follow defined processes and assist in communicating with and informing site stakeholders in the correct use of the systems.

What you'll need:

You will be a skilled multi-tasker with a keen eye for detail that thrives in a fast-paced work environment. You will need to have working experience and knowledge of Windows family of operating systems and networking. You should have a strong level of knowledge of Active Directory, Hyper V, Group Policy and DNS. You must also possess good communication skills and a thorough understanding of troubleshooting methodologies.

We are also looking for the following skills and Experience:

  • Experience in supporting Active Directory implementations over multiple geographical locations with bandwidth limitations
  • Windows Server Core installations and management via command line and Powershell
  • Experience in managing and troubleshooting Group Policy Objects, including software deployment, desktop security and Group Policy Preferences
  • Experience in virtualisation using Hyper V and Failover Clustering
  • Be certified or working towards an appropriate certification in Windows Server/Client, networking or security e.g. CompTIA A+/N+/Sec+ or MCSA Server Infrastructure
  • An overall awareness of network infrastructure and cyber security principles, as well as working with live mission critical systems
  • Understanding of firewalls and security platforms such as FireEye, SolarWinds, Tanium

  • A competitive salary between £35,000 £42,000 dependent on capability plus 26% shift allowance
