As Barclays, Executive Assistant, you will be a part of Global Markets Chief of Staff Office that assist the Co-Heads of Global Markets by devising, implementing, and running management and administration processes.

In your role, you will be providing full secretarial and administrative support to the Global Co-Head of Markets and be responsible for day to day running of the office.

This role will require an experienced assistance who can juggle workload and enjoys being busy in a varied role.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading and managing complex and detailed calendars
  • Screening incoming calls
  • Arranging and coordinating complex travel, including ensuring all business and compliance related approvals are in place
  • Assisting the team with tasks as required and helping new joiners settle in
  • Working with other assistants, in a positive partnership to help each other

What we're looking for:


  • Previous experience as Executive Assistant supporting Directors, ideally Managing Directors
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft office suite of products
  • Able to deal with people competently and confidently at all levels and builds solid relationships with colleagues across the bank

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Financial Institution experience is preferred
  • Interest in Global Markets and appetite to understand/learn about the business which will assist in forming judgement and taking decisions in the course of the role

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.

With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
