  • Fixed Term Contract/Secondment Opportunity until 31 March 2025.**We are recruiting a Case Adviser to work within our Havering Works Team in. Havering Works is a small externally funded team supporting disadvantaged unemployed and economically inactive residents to access the labour market.


The project is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and aims to deliver a range of support to help individuals secure employment or progress toward work.

The team will provide support individuals to remove those barriers which prevent them from accessing employment including support to improve skills relevant to the current and future job market.


It is a really great time to join our specialist team, at the beginning of the new project linking to opportunities created in the borough through social value and community development.

We are recruiting a Case Adviser to work within our Havering Works Project, the post will be a contract role running to 31 March 2025.

About the Job
You will work in a small specialist team to:

  • Provide client facing Information, Advice and Guidance, employment and training support to local residents in Havering who are economically inactive, unemployed or seeking to improve their economic well-being completing all required UKSPF paperwork as evidence of activity and outcome be responsible for the development and implementation of a tailored and customer focussed journey towards work for each participant through the Havering Works brokerage service achieving the outcomes and outputs of the project.
Promote the employment and skills brokerage service across internal council departments and external organisations e.g.

voluntary and community sector, colleges and training providers deliver employment and skills brokerage service across various council departments and external support agencies, tracking the progress of individuals and working in partnership with a range of services to provide a joined up skills and employment service.

Ensuring safeguarding at all times


About You

  • Experience of supporting economically inactive and longterm unemployed residents into sustainable employment, combined with previous experience of working in a salesoriented, account management or business development environment.
  • Experience of helping customers with barriers to improve their employment and job search skills is required. A track record of successfully engaging customers in a diverse community is also needed
  • Experience of working with bulk recruitment or in the Welfare to Work industry, evidence of sustained success in a previous marketing/ sales role in a similar setting, a solid understanding of the local labour market and the ability to develop business
  • Experience of managing and prioritising an extensive workload with the minimum of supervision.
  • Experience of working in project teams involving a range of different organisations and disciplines.
  • Experience of working directly with large and small businesses and of providing business support services.
  • Experience of work in partnership with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience of general and financial administration

Qualifications
Must be IAG and PTTLS qualified trained or working towards the qualifications.
