Our Government client, working heavily in the financial sector also, is one of the UK's largest retail savings organisations with 25 million customers and more than £179 billion of funds under management.
Our client is embarking on a significant programme of transformation for its outsourced services, called the Rainbow programme. The programme involves a series of procurement exercises, which started in 2021.
Role purpose:
Our client are currently looking for a Market and Competitor Intelligence Manager to join the Market Intelligence and Research team to provide the business and its stakeholders with up to date data on the markets in which it operates in.
- Provide insight to stakeholders on all aspects concerning specialist competitor and market insight to influence and drive decisions.
- Account manage stakeholders across the business providing a consultative service.
- Be the eyes and ears of our client, keeping the business at the forefront of all the latest trends and market developments.
- Deliver and be responsible for the ongoing management of the client Corporate and Board scorecards
- Be responsible for managing, developing and coaching a direct report within the team.
Key Skills and experience
Essential experience
- Experience of research, analysis, report writing and presentations
- The ability to evaluate data and identify trends to assess the impacts and implications for the client against competitor activity and the external market
- Strong presentation skills with a track record of presenting to senior audiences
- Strong analytical experience including exposure to data mining, data gathering and data analysing
- Providing insight through report production and identifying key highlights for stakeholders across the business
Essential technical knowledge and skills
- Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly put across information both written and verbally.
- Good presentation skills and interpersonal skills
- Excellent report writing skills
Desirable qualifications, experience and technical knowledge and skills
- Financial Services experience
- Competitor Intelligence data gathering
- COGNOS PowerPlay analytical software experience
