Description

We are looking for a senior cardiology trainee, ideally ST6/7 or immediately post CCST, to undertake a one year Senior Fellowship in Heart Failure or Heart Failure and Imaging at St George's to start in October 2023.

The St George's Heart Failure team is dedicated to excellence in specialist and evidence-based heart failure care.

The team is made up of a variety of health care professionals from various disciplines including highly trained cardiologists, heart failure registrars, specialist heart failure nurses and a dedicated heart failure therapy team with a specialist physiotherapist, a heart failure dietician and occupational therapist.

We have close links with the heart rhythm team for complex heart rhythm management and device implantation and the pulmonary hypertension, cardiac rehabilitation and palliative care services.

There will also be opportunity to participate in a specialised heart failure-renal clinic and cardiometabolic clinic.

We also work closely with our team of specialist community heart failure nurses covering Wandsworth, Sutton, Merton, Lambeth and Croydon.
