We are currently seeking a compassionate Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to provide essential support to a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Behavioural needs at a primary school in Blackpool.


Role and Responsibilities:

As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant working through M2 Education, you will:

  • Provide personalized support to a child with ASD, ADHD, and Behavioural needs in a Key Stage 2 classroom.
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SEN team to implement effective strategies that foster the child's learning and wellbeing.
  • Assist the child in managing their behaviours, maintaining focus, and engaging in classroom activities.
  • Adapt and modify learning materials to accommodate the child's learning style and needs.
  • Document progress, challenges, and observations, and communicate effectively with the teaching team.

Requirements:


  • Relevant qualifications and experience in working within education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with young learners
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of the children

Salary:
£11.50-£13.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • South Shore, Lancashire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Special education: 1 year (preferred)
