The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Head of Environment, Safety, Healthy, Quality and Wellbeing within the Programme Partner, the Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for assuring compliance for a Nuclear licenced site and implementing a quality audit schedule for the programme.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop Quality Management Plan.
- Implement Quality Strategy and Policy to support the programme objectives.
- Develop Integrated Quality Management System.
- Produce and implement a Quality audit schedule for the programme.
- Be a strong leader with experience in implementing and shaping the Quality Assurance processes and strategies.
- Have strong technical skills, both functional and nonfunctional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment.
- Strong communication skills with all the key stakeholders to ensure Quality Assurance vision is understood and implemented correctly.
- Be an advocate of Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement and industry recognised best practice.
- Carry out line management duties for those in the Quality team.
- Travel to project offices and sites as required.

Qualifications & experience:
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
- Member of the Chartered Quality Institute.
- Lead Auditor IRCA.
- Experience of leadership and driving strategic change.
- Extensive knowledge of Quality Assurance on a nuclear licenced site.
- Broad experience of nuclear safety.
- Proven relevant experience in project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide variety of people across functions especially at a senior executive level.
- Excellent knowledge of Risk Management, Risk Identification and Risked Based Testing.
- Experience managing testing departments or testing functions, managing large and complex activities and processes.
- Flexible with the ability to and work under pressure.
- Proactive, strongminded, quick thinker and assertive.
- Able to motivate a team, recognise talent and bring out the best out of everyone.
- Influencing and negotiation skills to get management buyin on ideas and concepts.
